Week 10: Dream Big Dreams

This weeks reading and videos were really good, as well as the discussion board that we had to do for class. It helped me to break down what I had learned and really what I had liked. I do have a dream of being able to help run a business one day, be the one to organize everything and have those abilities to be a leader.

Elder Oaks talked about how important it is to become while we are here on earth. I really loved this because I have seen in my life what the opposite brings. I have a sibling that is Transgender. Ever since they have made this decision, which was about 7 years ago, they have never been happy. They count on external things to make them happy. They also are not becoming anything, and instead are choosing to feel that the world is against them. The Lord does not want this for any of His children. He wants to see us striving for new things, go after our dreams and finding joy because of the love we feel from Him.

I also really loved the video "Think Big". It showed me that we should be excited and have passion for what we are doing. He was happy because he felt accomplished, but then he got excited because others also recognized it. He also said at the end of his video to always include the Lord in your dreams and to never underestimate yourself.

As I think about the dreams that I have, like becoming a mom, having a successful career and being an amazing wife, the main lesson I am still learning is to involve the Lord as much as I can. He knows me and He knows where I should be. He will always lead me to achieving my dreams.
